The PreachersNSneakers Instagram account has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 300,000 followers by calling out celebrity pastors and ministers for their lavish and expensive sneaker collections. Ben Kirby, the accounts creator says his mission is merely to “semi-obsessively look at what famous preachers are wearing,” the photos and snarky captions have ignited fierce debate about the materialism, opulence, and lust for fame seemingly embraced by many megachurch leaders.
